Breathe in the fate of a wretched soul.
Doomed to walk with life’s uncertainties
Hovering so devilishly above his shoulder,
Naked in his attempts to stray from lusts’
Mesmerizing, hypnotizing lushes.

An acidic rain washes down a meager body,
Leaving him petrified, immobile by a
Single look of tinged, broken elegance.
Such an unfathomable disease beating down
Upon shattered bones and exploding veins.

Lethal doses of pleasure and pain interrupt
A previously kind, gentle, logical-minded
Individual, who now faces the tragic notions
Of his ultimate perversions, a fantastical
World revolving around relations of all kinds.

One bound by the blood of his ancestors,
Blinded by the destiny deemed to be wrong,
Strong in its attempts to hide a horrendous
Act that beams strong on children unaware.
Nymphs and pans dance to the tune of

A crazed eye, an orgy of fun and bewilderment.
While the minnows spring to life, swimming
In a pool of their own unique circumstances.
Far ahead, towering over, there stands a
Living God, calling out to his brethren.

“Let them hate me so long as they fear me!”
Under a shuddered breath that snake would
Slither with deceit and nocturnal delights.
Relish in torturous habits, a behavior so
Unlike the beloved father before him.

And see the trust of honored guards
Become a burden to the God who so
Thought himself immortal, only to perish
By those who were sent for protection.
And thirty wounds are inflicted without

Pity to keep them from harming a
Once gentle lover of mankind.
They showed a rough mortality brought
To life, wife and child shown no mercy.
Noxious extremities burned to the grave.

That brooding nightmare coming to a halt,
Images of a fierce ruler shattered and
Scorned by the almighty Gods seeking
Their revenge on the problem child who
Came to rise through tricks unknown to him.

Little Boots, where did you take
A turn so wrong that made you inject
Your venom on the innocence of those
Souls who deemed you worthy of a
Caesar?  Take with you what you will.

And with a lesson learned, stay in
That Hell, disguise a reminder of
Your unruly casting of a society who
Praised you for your loyalties until
Tragedy struck you dead in the heart.
I was watching the History channel last night with my love because I had a desire to relearn the history of the Roman emperor Caligula. A crazy man. Woo hoo! I love the crazies.

That's because you aren't living in their time or under their thumb.
Unless scribes exaggerated and made things up, his cruelties were insane and demonic !

Assassinated and left to rot in the street until dogs tore up the body ? Or is that also a scribal outburst ?
